This is one of the biggest Facebook questions with one of the easiest answers. Do I need a Facebook fan page or a profile badge? If you want to do anything more than check out your old high school classmates, you need a like page.
On a profile page you can only have 5,000 friends. Okay, so you may not have 5,000 friends yet, but you’re not going to limit yourself are you? Also, profile pages don’t show up in search engine optimization but like pages do! Your like page is a free and limitless destination for you to advertise your business and build your brand.
You can offer a unique experience to those who have “liked” your page. Craft it around your message and make them want to stay and spend some time there. I open my page up for ten or fifteen minutes once in a while so that others can post on it. But I control the content! You can link to email or have it post to your inbox in your profile page.
One Place = Best
You want people to go to ONE place. Narrow down their options. I hate it when at the end of an email there are six options of how to connect with someone. Ask yourself where you are best represented and what gives the clients the best experience. Make your like page like a party and everyone will want to come! Remember, we are branding you!
Facebook is always changing, and currently you need a profile page to set up a like page. If at all possible you want to create your like page using a vanity URL which will be your name.
Check out this article, which helps you decide between a Facebook Group or Facebook Page.

Do I Need a Facebook Fan Page or a Profile Badge? | Chalene Johnson That is excellent to know, you gave me something to think about on bus ride to home from my girlfriends. Will you be writing additional about this topic? FYI I tried your rss button and it didnt work. I will try again in a few hours.

I wanted to set up a “like” page for my BeachBody Independent Coaching business – but it needs to be separate from my personal FB page.
Can this be done??
Thanks!
